During her career, April has been an award-winning faculty member and has served the institution in a variety of leadership roles including college-wide Online Chair for Business, Education, and Technology, Assessment Specialist, Chair of the Education & Academic Advancement Department at Boulder County Campus, and the Public School Projects Coordinator. April further honed her leadership and organizational skills while serving many years as the Colorado Community College System Discipline Chair for Education and Teaching English as a Second Language.
She has been involved in numerous student success initiatives including designing and delivering courses, launching a campus success center, and formulating an innovative institutional approach to cultivating student success. She has been a speaker at several national and regional conferences. Presently, Dr. Menzies continues to teach in addition to fulfilling her administrative duties.
